Ok - so I don't know if this is funny or sad. Personally, I think it is a lot of both. I laughed my butt off and then I realized later that Public Speaking courses are obviously not a pre-req for an Underwater Basket Weaving degree from West Virginia.
Seriously, you would think the NFL has a responsibility to prep players on how to make a public appearance and to overcome stuttering (although his family and school should have gotten him that help years ago).
Watch this video. Ellis Lankster Speaks His Mind (This happened during the preseason and I just remembered it. If I already posted this I apologize. I can't remember.)

A learning disability? I didn't hear that, but if so, than how did he get into West Virginia? Do they have a special ed degree?
A stutter, obviously. A learning disability? I'd like to see where it says that.
I've read alot of opinions that he has a disability (either he's a stutterer, or he has a speech disability), but they were merely posts, or comments about articles- no articles, nothing referenced, no facts.
C'mon guys. He obviously has a serious speech impediment. So, no, it's not so much funny as it is sad. He was probably born that way, and through no fault of his own has what some might call a "tick." I kinda feel bad for him.
And for the person asking how he got into such-and-such University -- he has NFL level talent, thats how. Vince Young would have been rejected from community college if he couldn't run like a deer.
He does have an impediment. He seems to be a very respectful guy, and to have the courage to go up there knowing he has a stutter, he gets a gold star from me.
