Trade Brees?

With Flacco on the bench would I be crazy to trade Brees for a bigtime rb or wr?

It depends - I would look for another starting QB to go with the trade for a premier RB or WR and not put all my hopes on Flacco

no one is untouchable. you just have to lay out the deal. Brees is about as close to one as there ever was though, at least so far this year.

I wouldn't trade Brees if Vince Lombardi told me too... He looks like he could break brady's 50 TD record and Marinos yardage record all in the same season. Long way to go but looking unstoppable.

No you should not. He is looking invincible. Until he shows sign of slowing down, I would not even consider it.

It really depends on 3 things:

1. Do you need help at another position?
2. What is your scoring system?
3. Is there someone who would give you what you needed in return?

1. If yes, then it makes sense to at least consider it. Not sure who your RBs/WRs are, but if you have a glaring hole it never hurts to try and fill it.
2. If it's traditional then passing TDs are 4 pts, while all others are 6. That means if you could land a high-scoring RB/WR plus a solid QB then it might work out for you.
3. I wouldn't accept anything less than a top RB/WR plus a solid QB in a package deal for Brees. For example I wouldn't turn down something like Rivers/Andre Johnson, Rodgers/Megatron, Ryan/ADP, Manning/Gore, etc.

Bottom line: Nobody is untouchable. But you'd better make sure you get enough in return--otherwise you'll be kicking yourself all season long.

Good luck, and please see mine:

No you wouldn't. I considered it last year, (good thing I didn't). It depends on who you'd replace him with, and who you got for him. I'd be asking for a king's ransom in return for him. And if you did trade him, I'd want someone else to go along with Flacco. Flacco isn't an every week starter IMO.
