Alright its another tough week for me. So far I have been disappointed with my main backs. I have Matt Forte and Brandon Jacobs, who should I start in my flex spot with the above mentioned backs? Pick 1 Standard RSPN scori ng league
LT is likely out again and Sproles is going to get alot of touches again. Smith is going to get shut down by the skins this week. Mccoy is a good option only if Westy doesnt play. If he does, the best he will get is a split on touches. Darren gets the nob from me.
How can you say Smith is going to get shut down by the Washington defense? Do you know anything about football or do you just automatically assume since they acquired Haynesworth they've got a dominate rush defense? They are ranked 17th in rush defense, giving up over 114 yards per game, and their team looks horrible. I've got a feeling the Lions might bring home the win this week. Either way, the game is going to be close and Smith is the workhorse whos going to get you a for sure 20+ carries. Compare that to anyone else that you might be starting, no other RB is going to get you at least 20+ carries. Last week he went up against the Vikings, some people consider them to have the best rush defense, he carried the ball 24 times for 85 yards. Hes a threat out of the backfield and he should get you at least 80+ yards / 20+ reception yards, and a potential TD. If LT is possibly playing I'd scratch out Sproles, he isn't much of a ground threat but is a receiving threat. Westie should be playing a bit which is going to diminish McCoys value. I do like Rice, especially since hes going up against the worst rush defense in the NFL. The Browns have given up over 200+ yards of rush yards per game. Rice isn't the red zone back so he'll have to break a long run to get in but I wouldn't be surprised if he puts up 75+ rushing yards along with 50+ receiving yards and most likely a score. Rice has more upside, he could get you anywhere from 5-20 points while Smith will most likely get you at least 10.
It's gotta be Ray Rice or Darren Sproles. Rice will still share the workload evenly with McGahee and Rice will give up redzone touches. I'd go with Sproles here because Michael Bennett isn't too much of a threat to take his work.
First of all, I expressed an opinon .. nothing more.
Secondly, I was at the Lions game last week and watched Smith .. great FIRST quarter .. likely got 60 yards there, then was shut down the rest of the game.
I PERSONALLY feel that the vikings D isnt what it was expected to be, and that the skins are going to make Stafford beat them, which means keying on Kevin and doublling Calvin.
