My McFadden for his Slaton? WHIR!!!

Postby LaRock » Fri Sep 25, 2009 9:43 pm

12 team league, standard scoring, 0.5 PPR, 4 pts per 100 yds rushing.

VERY strict roster rules. We MUST have 2 QBs, 3 RBs, 4 WRs, 2 TEs, 2 D/STs, 2 Ks. Starters in bold.

QB: Schaub, Garrard

RB: Forte, McFadden, Benson

WR: Megatron, White, Royal, Harvin

TE: Gates, Shiancoe

D/ST: ATL, MIA

K: Vinatieri, Carney
-----------------------------------
Start 1qb, 2rbs, 2wrs, 1te, 1flex, 1d/st, 1k.

Should I try to buy low on Slaton? Will he be a better back than McFadden? Or are his troubles a sign of things to come? It might be a wash and not worth it, but I wanted to make sure in case it was worth it.

Thanks, and please leave a link so I can return the favor!

i really doubt that the other guy will accept this type of offer, but if he does, go for it. i think that slaton's weeks 1 and 2 were flukes. mcfadden has lost important carries (esp aroung the goal line) to Bush. i think slaton climbs back to at least being a solid every week #2 fantasy back.

First...thanks for help on mine.

If you can get him to give up Slaton for that, then I say go for it. I am also thinking he will not go for it though. Slaton first couple of games I believe have also been kinda fluky and this week is the week he opens it up.

Like I say...if you can do it, then go ahead...I think you would get the better of that deal..

If you can trade McFadden to land Slaton then go for it.

I don't like Slaton this year. Part of the reason for the drop in numbers is because he is losing GL touches to Chris Brown, and he plays in a tough division.

DMac is perfoming better than I expected, because the Raider's are playing better than I expected (quarterback excepted).

DMac is the #1 threat on that Raider's offense, and he has a QB that couldn't hit a bull in the ass with a handful of sand. He also plays in one of the worst conferences in football. That spells opportunity for him.

As someone who lives in the Bay Area, I'm kinda down on DMC. The offensive line is banged up, and with Jamarcus Russell, most defenses will stack 8 or 9 in the box to stop the run.

I like Slaton A LOT more because he has an NFL quarterback on his team, and three threats in the passing game. The first two games were against tough defenses and I see him bouncing back this week.
