Q for D Williams?

Postby pangbones » Fri Sep 25, 2009 11:00 pm

I've been offered DeAngelo Williams and J Stewart for Boldin and Keller. My initial reaction was to accept it, but I don't really need a RB, and am thin at WR already. I am not certain I will be able to move one of my other RB's for another WR, should I accept this trade. What do you guys think? Am I crazy to not have accepted this already? Because I wasn't as high on D Will in the preseason as most others are.

QB- Cutler
RB - Slaton, Jacobs
WR - Welker, V Jack, Boldin
TE - Olsen
Def - Chicago
K - Tynes

Bench - McNabb, Hass, McFadden, Bradshaw, R Rice, Cotchery, Keller, Buffalo

6 pt TD
1 pt per 10 rush/rec
1 pt per 20 pass
.5 pt per rec

i think you get great value but honestly you don't need to do this trade. the trade doesn't help you one bit. you have a lot of depth at rb with dmc on your bench and getting another stud rb means jacobs would be on your bench as well. if you like this trade, i would try a 3 way deal involving another team to get a wr in return for jacobs or dmc.

thx for helping me.

I agree with the assessment, but not the decision. If it's me I def. do this trade. No such thing as too many good RBs, and 1 injury can deplete you and leave you in a boat like mine (thanks for the help on mine BTW). You get a 1st round RB for a low-end WR1/high end WR2 and a TE . . . of which there are plenty to choose from.

I always see it very simply...RB's win championships...

And having depth there will allow you to gamble in a few weeks and trade a top RB for some sick WR or QB with one of your own in a 2 for 1 deal, thus upgrading your starting roster bigtime heading into the playoffs. Let's just say it's a strategy I've used basically every year and it works pretty darn well. So I'd DEFINITELY do it.

I also think you have to do this trade. With D. Williams and J. Stewart, you are getting two good RBs for one good WR and a TE. And unless you have one of the top 3-4 TEs who really cares about trading them away.

Like other posters said, then you can try to move another RB (or even Williams and Stewart) for an upgrade of Boldin.

Good luck and Help Please:
