Keep 1 - Beanie Wells or Willie Parker? (WHIR!)

Postby GiantFanatic » Sat Sep 26, 2009 12:04 am

Standard 10 team league, trying to figure out who I keep on my roster, struggling with this one.

Willie Parker (PIT)
On the one hand Fast Willie is the RB1. However, Pit has struggled in general to run the ball, he doesn't look great, and he's got Mendenhall waiting to take his job. The question is if he'll pick it up or I cut and run while I can still get someone better.

C. Wells (ARI)
High prospect on one of the most prolific passing games out there, and hasn't run badly. However, hasn't been living up to the hype, he's been fumbling a lot, and is behind Hightower on the chart (who looks good). Do I grab him for the second half now?

I've got Willie, Beanie is an FA (small league). We start 2xWR, 2xRB, 1xW/R, 1xW/T, 1xTE. My roster is as follows, starters in bold:

QB - Brady
WR - Megatron, A. Gonzalez, K. Walter, Hester,
RB - ADP, FWP, Rice, Caddy, Bradshaw, Moreno
TE - Witten, Gonzo
K - Carney
D - GB

Yes, I have a lot of RBs, but I also have a lot of question marks. And no, I don't want to drop Gonzalez yet (I'm still high on him later in the season).

Leave a link and I'll reply in kind.

Thanks,
GF

Mmm . . . Parker is an RB1 on a run 1st defensive team. Wells is a rookie RB 2 on a pass 1st team with Hightower taking the goaline touches ahead of him.

When you say it out loud, I don't see how you could keep Wells over Parker.

Willie hasn't been tearing it up, but neither has Mendenhall. At least FWP doesn't have to earn the starting gig. Stay with willie.

It's time to put down the crack-pipe and step away from the keyboard.
