Palmer or McNabb for the Rest of the Season?

Postby jarobert » Sat Sep 26, 2009 8:37 am

I gave all of the details of my situation in another thread but to make is simple...

Starting in Week 5 when McNabb will likely return who has more value until the end of the season?

If you have both currently on your roster, I think you have to keep them both due to injury concerns - that said, I think they are close, nearly interchangeable w/ a slight edge to McNabb.
Kate Upton's Husband - dead
Mr. Blonde - champ
Yo Soy Fiesta - dead
Old South - champ
Full of Fanta Tonight - champ
Sex Panther (SB) - dead
Sex Panther (FF) - dead
Sex Panther (IBL) - dead
Sex Panther (Dynasty) dead

Thanks. If you have a minute I would really appreciate your checking out the details here. There are a lot of things to consider and I could use an informed opinion.

Wow. That's a crazy roster system. . .

Well, here's one thing about the Eagles . . . the offense has always been good, and it has always been funneled through McNabb. McNabb has had years of proven offensive talent . . . most of the time with crappy receivers (Pinkston, Lewis, Brown, Thrash, about 10 more I am forgetting because they are forgettable).

Palmer has had 1.5 years of phenomenal play, followed be years of sucktitude. He's solid now, but he's not going to turn into Palmer of 05 - 06. FF is a game of chance, and if it were me I would grab MCNabb and chance it. Having Brady and McNabb going most weeks has got be be the best 1-2 QB punch in your league.

Nut it out in the lean weeks and feast when they are both rolling. At least that's what makes sense to me, it might be different if I had some experience in that system, but it seems like if MCNabb doesn't pan out, bye weeks will cause somebody to dro pa servicable Qb along the way.
