Trade Help WHIR!

Postby jwhatti » Sat Sep 26, 2009 10:13 am

I was offered Andre Johnson for MJD. I do need WR big time, but MJD is a lot to give up.
Non-ppr scoring. Start 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex, K, DEF

My Roster
QB: Warner, Campbell
RB: MJD, Chris Johnson, B. Jacobs, J. Stewart, LeSean McCoy, Donald Brown
WR: Brandon Marshall, Bernard Berrian, Bowe, K. Walter, H. Ward
TE: K. Boss
K: Kasay
DEF: Minny

His Team - Team A
QB: Brady, Big Ben
RB: Marion Barber, Mike Bell, Ahmed Bradshaw, Hightower, McGahee, Ray Rice, Leon Washington
WR: TJ Housh, Andre, Greg Jennings, Ochocinco
TE: Celek
K: Carney
DEF: Packers

Here are two other teams that have weak RB situations and/or strong WR that I may be able to trade with.

Team B
QB: Cutler, Rodgers
RB: Addai, Steven Jackson, McClain, Beany Wells
WR: Reggie Wayne, Colston, Laverneous Coles, Hester, Steve Smith (NYG)
TE: Gonzales, Keller

Team C:
QB: Farve, P. Manning
RB: Ronnie Brown, Grant, FWP, Sproles, Fred Taylor
WR: Cotchery, Lee Evans, Larry Fitzgerald, Santonio Holmes, Megatron
TE: Dallas Clark, Zach Miller

So the questions are:
A. Accept Andre for MJD
B. Counter with something to Team A
C. Make an offer to Team B or C

Thanks!

Wow . . . how did you get MJD and CJ4.24 on the same team?

That is really, really tough.

It certainly helps you most weeks. But if somebody gets injured you have borderline guys as RB2s, unless Donald Brown takes over the starting spot . . . you would really be rolling a flex player as your every-week RB2.

But AJ is a major major upgrade. I think I might do it, but see if you can package one of your other WRs for Bradshaw as the handcuff to Jacobs so you aren't runnin barefoot.

Help here?

MJD for AJ & Bradshaw is what I would try and finaggle - need that Jacobs insurance policy IMO

IMO, you are definately in the driver's seat here...

W/ the option of starting 3 backs...

MJD/CJ4.24/Jacobs is absolutely leathal.
Bowe/and 1 of your other guys is serviceable (personally I really like Walter once he gets going).

CJ4.24/Jacobs/one of your other guys (or one of your other WR) is a definate down turn in projected production, but still solid.
AJ/Bowe is a really nice 1-2 and definate major upgrade.

Before giving up MJD, I would try and land a "lesser" WR1 for a lesser guy...

Looking at your roster and the other teams...

Maybe Jacobs/Campbell/Marshall (or Berrian or Ward) for Big Ben/Jennings (or Ocho)/Leon

MJD/CJ4.24/Bowe/Jennings (or 85)/one of your other guys (+ Big Ben for Warner insurance)

Maybe something real simple - D. Brown for S. Smith (NYG) gives you what appears to be a very legit WR2 early in the season for Addai's handcuff & you don't lose a stud.

With McCoy in tow, what's the Westbrook owners roster look like?

I would pull that trigger, you have plenty of RBs and Johnson may be the best WR out there.

help please
