Portis for D Brown? . . . sounds crazy . . . but ..

. . . my roster can only have 6 RBs. 10 Team money league. full ppr

QBs - Romo, S Hill
RBs - ADP, Portis, Addai, LJohnson, Lynch, J Jones
WRs - Wayne, Cotchery, Morgan, Mark Clayton, L Robinson, D Henderson
TEs - O Daniels, Winslow
D/ST - TEN, CHI
D/ST - Tennessee, CHI
K - Carney

I own Addai, and would lock up the Ind backfield and avoid this whole Portis ankle injury question/mess. I was considering dropping Julius Jones to pick up Betts, but it's hard to drop a starting NFL RB for a guy who may or may not even play. Betts is actually older than Portis, and I don't know that he steps in and blows it up if Portis, who has been struggling, goes down.

Alternative would be to drop Jones outright and pickup Betts as a seatbelt. It could work out great if Postis ends up hampered all year and Brown takes over Addai's job. Could bite me in the ass if thos bone spur thing isn't a big deal and Portis plays out the year.

At this point, even with the injury and the Indy backfield mess, there is no way I could trade Portis for Brown 1 for 1 regardless of what may happen.

Jones or Johnson for Brown sure - but no way Portis.

Jones and Johnson for Brown & then pick up Betts I would even consider that - no way do I do a 1 for 1 for Portis in this case

I agree with Panther. I wouldn't trade Portis just yet, especially for Brown. Though I can see the logic in the scenario you proposed, I think you should hold on or try what Panther suggested and trade Johnson & Jones for Brown then pick up Betts. That would give you the best of both worlds.

I am gonna see if I can still get that trade. Put a fork in Portis, cause he's done (or at least I am done with him).
