Well, depending on how you look at my situation, you could either say it was enviable (because of my RB depth) or not all that enviable (since I'm the owner of quite a few backs that, while talented, look to be RB-by-committee members). I'm looking for ways to sort out or fix the situation. I've been thinking of thinning the herd either by packaging a couple of them for a single back that is a little more of a workhorse or I have looked at the possibility of trading one of them for another decent QB (since I must start 2 QBs every week and I currently only have 2 QBs rostered). I really do like my guys, as I feel all of them have real talent and, if we sat here long enough, we could come of up with reasons why each of them could break out this year and move out of a committee situation.
So, how do you guys think I should handle this situation? I imagine some probably think I should stand pat for a week and see what happens and how Ray Rice, McFadden, Pierre Thomas and Sproles perform and are used this Sunday. However, I'm still thinking that I need a clear-cut #2 back somehow and I'm just not sure that there is one on my roster that will emerge. So, should I stand pat or possibly looking at packaging a "name" guy like LT with a promising guy like Ray Rice and see if I can get a workhorse back out of it?
Here's my roster, as it stands now. Keep in mind, I have to start 2 QBs every week and this is not a keeper league:
QB: T. Brady
QB: T. Edwards
RB: C. Johnson
RB: D. Sproles
WR: V. Jackson
WR: D. Jackson
WR/TE: TJ Houshmanzadeh
WR/RB: D. McFadden
TE: C. Cooley
K: N. Kaeding
DEF: Oakland
Bench:
L. Tomlinson (RB)
P. Thomas (RB)
M. Bell (RB)
R. Rice (RB)
P. Harvin (WR)
J. Gage (WR)
