Trade help

Postby kervtrain » Sat Sep 26, 2009 2:59 pm

Im in a 10 team 2 QB yahoo league. Standard scoring 10 yds/point 6 pts for a td -3 for an int, etc... I am currently in first place at 2-0 and I feel everything is very good on my team except for rbs. Im not sure who to target in a trade and what I should trade. WHIR

QB- Drew Brees
QB- Matt Ryan
WR- Ochocinco
WR- TO
WR- Cotchery
RB- Fred Jackson
RB- Ray Rice
TE- Gonzo
WR/RB- Santana Moss
K- Gostowski
DEF- Ravens
Bench- Joseph Addai, Pierre Thomas, Kevin Walter, Kyle Orton, Greg Olsen

Jackson has been great but will be in a timeshare with Lynch. Rice loses goalline carries to Mcgahee. Addai isnt that great, and Pierre hasn't played yet. It is a keeper league so its tough to decide who to target and what to trade. Any thoughts?
10 team yahoo standard 2 qb keeper league
QBS- Rivers, Ryan, Grossman
WRS- Roddy, VJax, Santana Moss, Lance Moore
RBS- D Will, Knowshon, Fred Jackson, Mcgahee, Sproles, PT
TE-Witten
K-Crosby
D-Ravens

Thanks for your help on mine.
You are in a tough spot and it's hard to tell without seeing the league. You have a lot of RBs in a time share spot. One idea would be to target McGahee, Donald Brown, or Marshawn Lynch. I just unloaded F Jackson for Big Ben in my league. At best Jackson is a 50-50 split with Lynch in week 4. I would sell high on him if possible. By the end of the year, D Brown will be the man in Indy but I stayed clear of that because Indy passes more than I like and that got me in trouble when I owned Addai last year. If you can, I would go for Beanie Wells. I like your top 4 WR and think that Moss will get more action soon.
I would try to give up Jackson and TO and target Beanie Wells(will be the man soon), Ronnie Brown (no time share really), or maybe even Slaton who has been underperforming. I would find the Slaton owner and see how desperate he is. Maybe even Brandon Jacobs' owner. These guys are going to get 10 TDs each this season but they haven't gotten any yet so the last 13-14 games should be nice ones. Bottom line, you are looking to trade RB for RB or RB/WR for RB/WR. Maybe TO/Jackson for a smaller name WR and bigger name RB, look for someone with RB depth like you.
Good luck, I know there isn't much concrete here but that's my best advice without know others rosters.

I'd look for the guy that has Lynch and try to sell him the handcuff or try to pull lynch in and endure the RBBC - or I'd try to pull in a high upside back with some risk like maybe Moreno or Wells and dangle some of your depth at TE - I think Olsen could break out but Gonzo is awful nice to have at TE. If I was to move a WR Id move Cotchery it is inconsistent at best.

Good luck thanks for posting on mine

First things first, check the WW for J Davis or the likes.

Try to move Olsen for a lower end RB, and add in a RB or WR to to match what you are after.
Maybe go after Ryan Grant who gets the lions share of carries.... offer Olsen / Rice. It's hard to point to a particular player without seeing rosters....

You can also look to Lynch's owner and offer up Jackson + something for a good starter. People are getting down on Slaton, he would be a good buy low candidate.

Thanks for the help on mine! Sorry I can't point to something more specific. Maybe add a possible options to your thread for people to evaluate.

Good luck!
