Is my team in danger?

Postby GambitX » Mon Sep 28, 2009 10:53 am

Hi guys,

I'm in a PPR league (1 point per catch), 1 pt for every 10 yards rushing/receiving and 1 pt for every 25 yards thrown. QB's get 4 points for every TD thrown while everyone else gets 6 points per TD (Including QB rushing TD's).

Any suggestions/recommendations on my roster? With Westy down and no viable backup, I was pretty much screwed this week. I'm also not sure if I like having QB-RB from the same team. I'm 2-0 at the moment, still have a decent chance tonight. Please share your thoughts.

QB- Matt Ryan, Matt Cassel
RB- Michael Turner, Brian Westbrook, Marshawn Lynch, Beanie Wells, R. Mendenhall
WR- Dwayne Bowe, Vincent Jackson, Roy Williams, Donald Driver, Lance Moore
TE- Zach Miller
K- Nick Folk
DEF- Giants, Packers

Zach Miller is killing me thanks to Russel. I was offered Todd Heap for my Packers Defense. I want to drop Cassel and pick up either Campbell, Hill or Collins. I also need a waiver RB for Week 4. Any thoughts/ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Is Coffee available?

I'd pick him up as a plug and play for a couple weeks?

Packers D is just taking up space, NYG is the play every week (and the Giants bye isn't for quite some time if memory serves) - so I'd move that for Heap IMO.

I think Cassel is droppable, Miller is droppable if you land Heap, Moore is boderline droppable due to injury and basically 0 production thus far.

What's on the wire?

Yes, Coffee is available. Surprisingly, Santana Moss was dropped before the games started on Sunday but there is no way I'm getting him- I'll be anywhere from 9th to 11th on the waiver wire.

I already put a claim in for Coffee, I won't know if I get him until Wednesday morning.

I think making the move for Heap is smart, especially since I doubt I'll be using the Packers D over the Giants anytime except for the bye week (Week 10).

For QB: Best six on the waiver wire: Jason Campbell, Chad Henne, Kyle Orton, Shaun Hill, Kerry Collins, Matt Stafford

For RB: Glen Coffee, Ernest Graham (Injured though), James Harrison, Mike Bush, L McClain, T Choice (Not much here aside from maybe Coffee or Harrison)

For WR: K Washington (Bal), P Crayton, J Gage, S Moss (Will be gone soon), Both KC receivers (Bradley and Wade), P Garcon, M Clayton (TB)

For TE: V Shiancoe, T Scheffler

Any ideas? Our Waiver wire is pretty limited with talent

That is pretty much a wasteland...

Hopefully Coffee falls to you, doubt it, but who knows.

Out of everyhting listed, I like, in this order...

Coffee (for the short term), Moss, Gage, Bush, Garcon, Bradley, Wade - keep the rest IMO

Thanks a lot for your feedback. I hope I'm able to land Coffee, it would make things a lot easier. Would you start Cassel for week 4 (Matt Ryan's Bye Week) even though he is playing the Giants? That is why I was debating picking up either Campbell or Hill.

No way do I start Cassell under any circumstances - he is terrible.

I suppose dropping him for either Campbell or Hill would be a good move then? There are really no other players left on the free agent list. I really didn't want to put in a waiver claim for one, but 2 other teams also need QB's this week due to injuries so I may even miss out on those 2.
I was looking to try to get the QB's in this order:

Campbell
Hill
Collins
Wallace

Does anyone else have any advice? I'm still debating on which QB to grab for week 4. I will help in return!

I like Campbell over Hill, but it's close.
