Deal ADP for McGahee, SS and Pick in Dynasty? WHIR

Postby THEOT » Tue Sep 29, 2009 2:12 pm

12 team PPR dynasty. Been offered McGahee, SS and his 1st round pick in 2010 for ADP. Tried countering for Peyton but no go. Thing is I just got Kolb cheap and I'm not really hurting anywhere so does this deal make sense at all? I might also be able to get Roddy instead of SS. Here's my roster and his, leave a link WHIR

Mine:
QB-McNabb, Kolb, Edwards
RB-ADP, Grant, Rice, McClain, Parker, Moore, D. Brown
WR-Jennings, Mannningham, Breaston, Ward, Mason, Stuckey
TE-Clark, Celek, Shiancoe
Def-Atlanta

His:
QB-Peyton, Garrard
RB-MJD, Barber, McGahee, Stewart, Scott, Savage, Goodson
WR-SS (Car), Roddy, Harvin, Caldwell, Sims-Walker, naanee
TE-Cooley, Keller, Bennett
DEF-Min

No way do I move ADP in a dynasty for that package.

ADP needs to get you at least 2 longterm studs - I don't see that in what was offered to you.

McGahee is on fire - but not worth AP - you have the long term Raven RB already on your roster IMO.

SS would help you WR core, but not enough to justify the loss at RB.

1st rounder in 2010 holds too much uncertainty.

Pairing AP w/ MJD & Barber gives the other team the most dominant backfield in your league for the next 4 or 5 years.

Looking at his roster, I would consider (and even then it's not a done deal) Barber/SS/Harvin his 1st in 2010 for AP/Manningham/Breaston

Don't get rid of AD, he's the best player in dynasty, even more so than he's the best player in other formats. It would take alot more than a banged up hot streak runner and 30 year old steve smith even with a first rounder. I actually can't imagine anyone having enough trade bait to get AD

Nooooooooooo...for all the reasons already said. You're getting nothing out of that deal really except probably a 1st round QB next year...big whoop. Don't do it.

as everyone else as said...DONT DO IT. the deal isn't even close and your buying incredibly high on willis mcgahee. he wont continue to score 2 td's every game the rest of the yr. without AD, your RB look weak and your overall team hurts on the deal, however with him your RB are solid. i would look to trade some of your depth guys like brown or parker for an upgrade at qb if you want to make a move. also, that 1st round pick shouldn't be that great if it is a dynasty, the 1st pick is essentially a rookie, which is great but most are hit or miss. you can get way more for peterson. its an absolute joke that the other owner wouldnt jump all over AD for only the price of peyton.

help with mine?
