Knox or Walter?? ... WHIR

Postby chcbb » Wed Sep 30, 2009 10:52 am

I just picked up Johnny Knox (Chi) off the waiver as a backup / 3rd WR...
However I noticed Kevin Walter (Hou) is available .. after being injured for 2 weeks he came back Sunday with a good game, 96 yds and 1 TD. With Schaub throwing all sorts of TDs, I'd expect Walter to get some good looks as long as he stays healthy.

Bottom line, should I keep Knox, or drop him and grab Walter??

Here's my WR lineup (start 3):
Calvin Johnson (Det)
DeSean Jackson (Phi)
Wes Welker (NE)
Mario Manningham (NYG)
Johnny Knox (Chi)

I would go with Walter. I think you're right that Houston is a much more explosive offense and Walter definitely should get a piece of it.

Help with mine please

i would personally go with Walter...

Texans - explosive offense, with years of experience with the same offense and head coach, and Schaub is going to have a couple huge games...and a couple meh games....but Walter will see tons of options as opposing teams will focus alot of Andre johnson and Steve Slaton...Walter is a no.2 on a really good pasing offense

Bears - new QB, who is still developing chemistry with everyon, equestionable offense, and Knox is the third option behind Hester and Earl Bennett....

Walter will get way more targets, and he will be the more consistent producer. but knox always has a chance to connect on a homerun...

bottom line, i would say Walter no question...he is a very underrated player in this league, and last year scored 8 TD's....his hamstring does not look like a big issue as they wisely held him out the first two weeks to let it heal completely so he would be fresh for the rest of the season...
Ryan/Flacco - Rice/Peterson - V.Cruz, St.Johnson, Den.Moore, Mike (TB) - Hernandez/Rudolph

Thanks for the help....

I'm going to echo what everyone else is saying, take Walter hands down. I actually originally drafted him, but after being hurt for two weeks, I was forced to drop him for Manningham.....Now I'm thinking of turning around and picking him up again. But to be quick: Yes, Walter over Knox
