TRADE: Roddy White for Westbrook or Fast Freddie/Royal

Postby loomer1000 » Wed Sep 30, 2009 12:43 pm

I'm in a 12 team PPR keeper league. 2 RB, 2WR, 1 RB/WR flex starters

My Current Lineup
QB: Rodgers, Eli
RB: Jacobs, Rice, Brown, Mike Bell, Ware, S. Greene
WR: Calvin, VJax, White, Bennett, Meachem, Robinson (just dropped him)
TE: Shockey
DEF: Eagles

I have been offered Westbrook (2nd round) or Fred Jackson (9th round, potential keeper) and Royal (9th round via trade) for Roddy White (5th round). All keepers will move up 2 rounds next year.

If Mike Bell was playing healthy I wouldn't be as worried at RB. But I'm one injury away from being thinner than I want to be. I have 3 great WRs and 3 good RBs but my bench is a bit thin. Does it make sense to make a move to get depth at RB and depend on Calvin/VJax staying healthy or gamble with who I got.

His Lineup:
QB: Palmer, McNabb
RB: Chris Johnson, Westbrook, SJax, Coffee, Mendenhall, Fred Jackson
WR: Marshall, Royal, Henry, Bryant, DeSean Jackson
TE: Celek, Miller

This is a tough call---you need another RB and you're deep at WR. I think that Westbrook is a better call in a PPR format, especially since Marshawn Lynch is coming back this week, and Eddie Royal has yet to show up. If you trade for Westbrook, you're assuming the liability that normally goes with him, and the Eagles O no longer runs through him, but I'd still do it.

Is there anyone else in your league who'd deal a good RB for a top WR?
