Drop Beanie for bench WR? WHIR

Postby benb18a » Wed Sep 30, 2009 3:13 pm

Actually, I already dropped Chambers for H Miller. Should I drop Beanie Wells for a backup WR, since I now have no bench WRs(starters won't hit bye weeks until week 8)? I have F Jackson, Lynch, K Smith and P Thomas at RB, along with M Bush for a possible sleeper, so I definitely have some depth at RB. I'm not sure what to think about Beanie going forward, in a redraft league.

Here is the list of available WRs:

Crayton(probably claimed, I'm last on WW priority)

S Rice
Bess
Bruce
Bryant Johnson

You could drop any of those players listed, I think. You have to ask: if I drop one of these guys, who's LEAST likely to have a huge week? You want to be sure that whoever you drop is still there next week.

I would drop Beanie Wells. It's unlikely that he'll put up a good game against Indy's pass rush this week. He is splitting carries with Hightower, and both of them will spend a lot of time in the backfield trying to stop Dwight Freeny from raping Kurt Warner.

The Cardinals already played Indy this week, they are on bye this week.

Drop Wells, he won't get picked up and you can grab him later.
