Need WR Help: M. Manningham or K. Walter

Postby kpeterson » Thu Oct 01, 2009 7:21 am

I'm in a standard yahoo! fantasy league

Need to choose a WR:
I'm torn between Mario Manningham against Kansas City
or
Kevin Walter against Oakland

Also help on RB:
Fred Jackson against Miami
or
Darren McFadden against Houston

I'd go with Jackson without question, but Marshawn Lynch is back and could take away from his carries

Thanks All!!
QB - B. Favre, M. Sanchez
WR - A. Johnson, S. Smith (Car), M. Clayton, T. Owens, V. Jackson
RB - A. Foster, M. Jones Drew, P. Thomas, R. Williams
TE - J. Witten, A. Hernandez
K - M. Nugent
DEF - Minnesota, San Diego

I would go with Mario as he is seeing good targets and I would go with Jackson.

Good luck

Manningham or Walter, IMHO, is a toss-up. I played Walter last weekend (my opponent had A. Johnson) and it worked out well. They both have juicy matchups and either one is a winner.

As far as Jackson or McFadden, a guy in my league dropped McFadden on Sunday morning and I ran to grab him. I'm going to start him, I think, in place of MJD who draws an especially tough run D this weekend. McFaddens matchup against the horrible Houston run D is just too good to pass up. If I don't sit MJD, I will sit Ray Rice in favor of McFadden. He gets the yards between the 10's but McGahee steals the TD's.

I say go with McFadden, but I've been known to be wrong before.

Play Walter, he will be getting a good amount of looks as Johnson will be covered by Asomugha.

Its a tough call between Jackson and McFadden, but Im gonna play McFadden here, Houstons Defense is well.....non-existant at this point. Its a gut call brother.

Yes Houstons D is bad but, Oaklands passing is horriable. So I would think Houston will stack the box and McFadden will not be able to run. Plus Houston will get up to a great lead in the beginning and Oakland will be forced to throw. I say play Walter and Jackson.
