I can't believe there schedule...I'm definitely going to look to snag MFWP(moderately fast willie parker) in my 12 team league. I'll wait till after next week becuase that should also prove to be a tough matchup.
Hey, welcome abord SameSongNDance. I was thinking of FATTSWP (Fast Against Teams That Stink Willie Parker) but I kind of like MFWP better.
Nice of rotoworld to go overboard on MFWP's lack of success. Wait until he gets some softer Ds before declaring Willie dead and buried. The Oline sucked, but they can get better as the season progresses, it is not that unusual. (Flip side is that they sucked last year too, and continuing to struggle isn't rare either)
I think, therefore I am. I think fantasy, therefore I am unreal?

Any word on Mendenhall taking over in Pitt for Parker to shake up that running attack? I've only heard grumblings from the fans, but is this a legitimate possibility?

Mike Lombardi of the National Football Post predicts that Rashard Mendenhall will take over as "the main back in Pittsburgh."
Lombardi says Mendenhall "finally looked like a first-rounder" in Week 2, "and this might be the last time we see Willie Parker." However, all of Mendenhall's 39 yards came on one carry, and he only had two others. The situation bears close monitoring... Source: National Football Post
If FWP doesnt play.. Moore will be the go to guy IMO. Mendenhall hasnt shown enough to warrant many touches with Tomlin. I also expect for Pittsburgh to run more spread offense in their "Lightning" package (no huddle) and Moore is a much better receiving RB. He had some productive games last year in FWP's absence...
i think its important for all willie parker owners this week to either pick up mewelde or mendenhall, whichever is available on the waiver. if you own parker, mewelde should be there. reasoning: if parker is a game time decision, the steelers play on sunday night so you won't have a replacement to plug in if he's inactive, thus you can switch mewelde/mendenhall if he's inactive. problem will be, if he is active, we don't know how much this injury will limit him so he could get a few carries then he's out for the game or something. but 1 of those 2 back are must haves this week if you have parker starting.
Despite missing practice each day this week, Willie Parker's (toe) Week 4 status won't be formally decided until Saturday morning.
It appears he'll be listed as "doubtful" on this afternoon's injury report. Parker will test his turf toe during a running session on Saturday. Beat writer Gerry Dulac confirms that Rashard Mendenhall will start if Parker can't. Source: Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
