Start Coffee or Pierre Thomas?

Postby SenorBeef » Fri Oct 02, 2009 2:23 am

League is normal scoring, except .5 points per reception.

Coffee looks like he'll get the entire workload against St. Louis, and they'll probably run a lot, and he's looked good in the preseason.

But Thomas is a stud, he got 120+ yards and 2 TDs in one half last week. But he's playing the tough NYJ defense.

Who would you start?

I have the same issue....I'm starting Coffee but am thinking of using Thomas as my Flex but that JETS defense is making me think twice.

Far too many on this board say start PT because of what he did LAST WEEK. That horse has already left the barn. The question is, what will he do THIS WEEK against that Jets D. I daresay not much. That said, I'd go Coffee and not look back.

Coffee is a backup who gets the start because of injury. PT was the starter at the begining of the season who got hurt and now is back to being a starter.
I'd stick with PT, he is a stud when healthy and he is now.

I would start Coffee. The Niners are going to run the ball over 25 times and there is nobody that is going to steal carries from him. The Rams have a bad rushing defense and the Niners will exploit it. Coffee could have the biggest week of any Rb this week.
