First South American country wins Olympic bid

I just watched the announcement live that Rio De Janeiro will host the 2016 summer games, beating out Madrid in the final voting. Tokyo and Chicago were eliminated in the previous rounds, Chicago being the first eliminated.

This is the right choice from an international perspective, IMO. The U.S. has had several opportunities. S.A. is long overdue. Way to go!
