Would it be stupid to just cut Clinton Portis

You cannot trust him. Can you? I mean he cannot stay healthy and cannot produce against bad teams like Detroit and Saint Louis. The schedule just gets worse in a couple of weeks

I want to cut him and unfortunately he's on my CNC list. Pisses me off b/c I need that roster spot for another WR and no one else on my team is worth dropping. So no, I don't think it's stupid at all. It's not all Clintons fault... WAS just sucks in general.

Maybe see if you can trade for him first, rather than just plain cut. Any RB-desperate teams in your league willing to bite on him?

The ONLY way you cut Portis, who had nearly 1400 yards rushing last year, is if you have a viable option in return...not someone who is MORE questionable.

So my easy answer is no.

Having had Portis in the past, the frustrations are much less with him, that without him...especially if you are in a decent league in which you are scraping the bottom of the barrel for spot starts.

Now, if he's going to be out for considerable time...for sure...different story...but as of right now, he may even play this week...

I wouldn't cut him although i feel your pain. I had him last year and waiting around for news on his status b4 gametime got old real quick. I stayed far away from him this year. Good luck.

Dump! Two seasons ago I wanted him. Last season I had him. This year feels so good not to have to wait, or even worse, not play him because they say 'limited', and then watch him post big in 1st half of games. I feel for all Portis owners. DUMP! and move on. But, good advice to try and trade him to a desperate owner if you can. Good luck.
