I think it's probably what you expect to hear but not what you want to hear; play Brees. He is unsittable. Good luck ;-D

Brees. Jets offer a tough match up, but Brees is your stud AND all Cincy has to do is hand the rock to Benson. Benson will put up the big stats in this game, not Palmer.

Help?

we actually discussed this exact quandry on 4th and Goal, the ffc podcast.

You should start Brees; this is a prime example of never sitting your studs--he was probably your first round draft pick and the Jets will be without potentially their top 5 DBs (including Derelle Revis and Jim Leonhard) and Brees is a veteran who knows how to spread the ball around and keep the offense moving...he'll be just fine this week.

Brees.

Use Palmer for message board trash talking. After you win, come with some sort of "even my BACKUP QB outscored your QB" smack.

Same answer from me... have to start Brees man. I'm not going to back that up with the "start your studs" philosophy. I'll back it up with some fantasy logic.

Brees didn't get shut down by the Bills, the Bills got lit up by the Saints ground game. Not counting QB scrambles, the Saints wracked up 214 rushing yards on 32 carries with all 3 TDs. The second half was pretty much all Pierre Thomas. The Bills have a small front but a good secondary so a smallball approach with Brees stretching the field horizontally with short passes and letting the backs explode through the holes is just good game planning.

That won't happen with the Jets. The Jets are a complete D so Brees is going to have to be what we're used to seeing to win this one. Look what he did against the Eagles, probably one of the better Ds around against both the rush and the pass. You just can't bench him.

Brees. Palmer hasn't shown enough this year to ever start over Brees. He's your 1st pick (most likely) and you didn't draft him there to bench him for Palmer.
