Week 5 WR Help!!! WHIR

Postby Smoakland Hammer » Tue Oct 06, 2009 11:28 am

I'm in a huge pickle being that I have not won a match yet this season... My WR's go as follows:

Andre Johnson @ Arizona
Larry Fitzgerald vs. Houston
Mario Manningham vs. Oakland
Derrick Mason vs. Cincinnati
Chris Henry @ Baltimore

(Yahoo fantasy, ppr, 14 team league)

We start 3 WR. I'm pretty much only confused as to start Mason or Manningham?

I would start Mason over Manningham. Mason seems to have become one of Flacco's main go-to guys and is thrown to consistently, whereas Manningham is getting targeted by Eli fewer and fewer times since his big game against the Cowboys.

Obviously you're not benching AJ and Fitz. Definitely go with Mason. That will be a much closer game and I'd expect him to have good numbers. Unless Manningham gets lucky and gets a long TD, I doubt he'll do much this week. They might target him a little more since Asamougha is on Smith, but the Giants are going to be so far ahead at half time that they probably won't even pass the ball the second half.
