grant/celek for TO/LT? whir

Postby ticklemeelmo » Tue Oct 06, 2009 1:23 pm

The only problem i have with this trade is Grant, i have Dallas Clark starting and i just picked up celek this weekend when someone dropped him cause of the bye and was planning on trading him for something. TO would fit in perfect this week because i was planning on using Knox as one of my receivers.
Grant has a bye this week but i love his consistency and it seems like a gamble even though its pretty much a 2 for 1 trade for me.
My team consists of Rodgers, Forte, Grant, Julius Jones/Ray Rice, Calvin Johnson, Johnny Knox/ Lee Evans, Dallas Clark, and the broncos D.

also after watching the packers this week it seems like their line is having more and more problems so Grant is starting too look like a gamble to play for me.

LT is more valuable than Grant and healthy now. You got a RB upgrade and a potential WR upgrade for a ww pickup and a pick that wasn't your top 3 or 4. Ya go for it.

Are you off your meds? LT has been horrible the last two years. And TO and the whole Buffalo offense is a mess.

Grant is a steady fantasy option and Celek would be a great option for bye weeks or incase Clark goes down. (They are 1 and 2 on NFL.com in fantasy points)

Horrible trade imo Could have got way more value

i really dont like this trade at all. YOu will get alot more fantasy value and points with ryan and celek.

ouch...also LT has no keeper value if you are in a dynasty league.

Ryan grant/celek will put up better numbers total this year then LT and TO.

TO did nothing this year. and if that iffy passing game keeps up...he will be a major failure for your team.

i wish i responded first. LT and TO are just big names..that is aLL...A past time

exactly...what a bad trade...probly the worst trade i seen so farthe person who just stole grant and celek from you is jumping in the air with joy now,,,he is so happy to have gotten rid of LT and TO that have been nothing but a burden to his team.

sorry..you just got owned in that trade man.

but whatever...i hope LT tears it up for you...i still have some hope in LT..lol

Yeah I almost feel bad for the OP.

I don't know his league rules. But in mine..

TO averages 5 pts per game
LT is at 5 (Hurt for 2 games)

Celek is 12
Grant is 10

i have too much faith in LT i think and thats probably what made me do the trade. but celek was pretty much a one week start player for me. i feel i gained a decent WR because i really have struggled too fill two slots this year putting randoms in and out. i said myself that i thought grant was one of my most reliable backs and i really regret seeing him go, but i feel like the packers are gonna see nothing but hurt in their running game because the o line is so torn up.

i actually ended up getting this trade vetoed by the league manager and now im putting grant on my untouchables i cant part with a back that consistent. im trying too trade celek for any decent back or wr, as he is totally useless to me except for one week when dallas clark has his bye.
