If Rush buying the Rams franchise curses them, how long is America cursed for electing Obama? I haven't seen such blatant socialism like his in my entire life.
Socialism is subjective, racism on the other hand is not and the fact that you just compared the two is perplexing ..
Racism is all the way subjective, and you're deluding yourself if you think it isn't. What's considered racist/insulting to one group of people may be acceptable by another group. Rush makes plenty of inflammatory comments, but whether they are considered racist is up to the judgment of each individual listener. Obama's policies are the same, I suppose, but it's hard not calling a national health care plan, redistributive tax measures, and nationalization of major industries NOT socialism... because that's the text-book example of socialism. Have I helped clear up your confusion?

Dude, I won't address whether or not Obama is a socialist because quite frankly I could care less. This topic was about Rush buying the Rams and I stated that he's racist, I don't find it debatable. If I wanted to I could quote Limbaugh from now until eternity on the racist remarks he has made and believe me its not subjective...unless you agree with them.
I find it odd that the NFL wouldn't disallow Limbaugh due to his personal conduct that would tarnish the image of the league. That is, if I go with the assumption that a prescription pill addict and racist owner would deviate from the norm for owners and that they would not be desirous of such behavior.
Does this officially make the Rams the biggest joke in the league?*

The Raiders would take offense to this.

Not really a fan of the guy but I don't think the league would veto it. It's not like he's going to force the Rams to become Republicans, right?
I get the public image issue, but there's also this guy named Michael Vick that beat dogs who they let back into the league. And he actually wears a uniform and plays, and is on TV for everyone to see. Comparatively, Rush would probably be behind the scenes, unless he goes all "Al Davis."
I had no intention of starting a political debate with this thread. Personally, I have nothing against Mr. Limbaugh. He's never done anything to me and I really have no opinion of him whatsoever. It's a free country and if he wants to say stupid things about Donovan McNabb or Democrats in general then I guess he has a right to do so as long as he doesn't cross certain lines.
It's just that when I read this the first thing that popped into my head was "ultra-conservative offense for the Rams" and I thought it was kind of funny. My intention was 100% just trying to give people a chuckle.
For instance, it could also be said that it would be easy to score on the Rams if he took over. He would never allow his team to defend the left so all you have to do is run your plays to that side.

What sort of value were you looking for from a thread about a radio personality with a checkered past wanting to be a part of an ownership group? Its not like he would have anything to do with the team we see on the field.
