Need some help lost 3 in row? WHIR

Postby TALLDAD » Tue Oct 06, 2009 9:05 pm

Right now I'm 1-3 and having doubts about who to play. Any ideas?

starters
Flacco, Joe QB BAL CIN (Brees is on bye this week)
Coffee, Glen RB SF ATL (Didn't do much against a team that might be worse than the Raiders)
Mendenhall, Rashard RB PIT @DET (Will Willy play and if so how much)
Manningham, Mario WR NYG OAK (Who will get all the touches the running game or passing)
Massaquoi, Mohamed WR CLE @BUF (Anderson's new target?)
Ward, Hines WR PIT @DET (Done good so far)
Keller, Dustin TE NYJ @MIA (Gates on bye will be dropped after this week)
Rackers, Neil K ARI HOU (Only kicker)
Eagles DST TB (Only DST against a weak team)

Bench
Brees, Drew QB NO BYE
Grant, Ryan RB GB BYE
Harrison, Jerome RB CLE @BUF (Will he explode against the Bills also)
Johnson, Larry RB KC DAL (Kicking myself for drafting)
Thomas, Pierre RB NO BYE
Westbrook, Brian RB PHI TB (Injury concerns)
Edwards, Braylon WR CLE @BUF (What happened to Edward Stonehands)
Jennings, Greg WR GB BYE
Gates, Antonio TE SD BYE

I'd go w/ Harrison instead of his WR mate Massaquoi

I don't think you can bench Westbrook if he's active. Obviously you need to see how practice goes this week but if there are no setbacks you have to play him.

I assume that your league plays 3 wide. If you play a flex, then sub Coffee for Massaquoi. I don't think you can start him based on one game.

Otherwise, it appears that with all your byes you don't have any other real choices.

Play Westbrook if he's active, TB is not that great of a def and he's been resting for two weeks.

We start 3 WR and 2 rb. My league doesn't have flex options.

Put Westbrook in for Coffee.

With no flex, you sub Westbrook for Coffee and you are set.

I still think Mass is a big risk. You could consider fishing the waiver wire. I would say Edwards and LJ are pretty expendable.

thanks for the help on mine.

westie for coffee, IMO. i'd leave in mendy as long as he gets the start. if not, plug in harrison.

WRs are fine, i'm not sure what else is gonna be on the WW that's better. i think massaquoi can have another nice week, the bills 2ndary is a huge mess, cleveland might even win the game.
