Check my team in my signature. I am starving for a RB...My trio of WR's is stellar, so Mason is expendable and I expect Mendenhall to beast...Thoughts?
QB: Orton RB: Jax, LJ WR: Fitzgerald, A. Johnson, Mason TE: Carlson W/R: Choice K: Defense: GB BN: Rodgers, Jennings, F. Jones, M. Moore, J. Stewart, Royal
Mason has been good for me but it doesn't look like you need him. Mendenhall could take over for Parker the way they've been playing and Rice should get you yards but don't expect many TDs. I'd go for it.
I'm not quite as high on Mendenhall as you are, but agree he's a considerable upgrade over LJ and with Fitz, Johnson and Jennings you're not going to be giving Mason much playing time this year anyway.
In my league, SJax, Fitz, Andre and Jennings went 9, 10, 16, 27. How'd you get all four in a 12-team league? Good trading?
Personally, I don't make this trade untiil PIT decides how they will handle the RB situation. Mendenhall looked AWESOME Sunday night, but he fumbles a lot and never done this before, even though he has had plenty of opportunities. Wait for PIT to make an announcement, first.
In the meantime, look for Harrison on the WW.

Thanks for weighing in on my CJ/AJ question.
Dan
Fitz was my 1st rounder (#7 overall), Andre my 2nd rounder (#18 overall).
I traded TO/Manningham for Jennings/Stewart and I traded Leon Washington/Moreno/Garcon for Jax/Mason
And here we are...lol
I am trying to pounce on Mendenhall before he really takes off...Obviously a little skeptical both ways...

I am going to see how long I can drag it out, but the offer will probably be off the table by tomorrow if I don't respond. When did Mendenhall have an opportunity? He got hurt last year in the first game and Parker was healthy earlier this year the first 3 weeks lol...Once the announcement is made, his value skyrockets...That's why I am trying to get him now at a reasonable value...

Harrison is already gone...Thanks though!!!
To clarify, you are right - he hadn't started and played a whole game before, but in his limited appearances, he never looked so good.
Just remember if you make the trade, you will get a RB who was benched two weeks ago.

I'm with you...It's one of those I am on the fence decisions...He could beast or not...Hmmm but I think he clearly learned his lesson lol
Thanks for the help with mine. None of us know for sure, but despite past benchings it looks for all the world like Mendenhall is going to get a lot more rope before he loses carries. He runs harder than FWP can, and I think Tomlin doesn't just like the punishing style, he wants it that way. He's a GTO guy, not a Porsche guy.
That said, I think you make the deal. Mendenhall has huge upside, and I agree that the chance to make this deal goes away when it becomes official that he's the guy in Pittsburgh (notice I said when, not if). Sidney Rice is capable as a 4th WR, and let's face it, you're not going to start him much with that group anyway.
Can I ask you a followup on mine? If the counter on Gates/Harvin for Gore is Gates/Rice instead, would you still make this deal? Thanks, good luck!
