Starting a TE in the Flex Spot - Seriously?

Postby spodog » Wed Oct 07, 2009 5:36 pm

I have never been a fan of using a TE in the Flex spot over availalbe RB's and WR's, but am considering it this week.

I have both Tony Gonzalez (vs SF) and Vernon Davis (vs ATL) in the same game and I really like the matchups for both these guys so am contemplating starting one at TE and one in the FLEX spot (our rules allow this).

Other choices would be:

Donald Brown (v TEN) - TEN is only giving up about 80 ypg rushing despite the crappy record. Not too big on Brown's chances in this one.

Percy Harvin (v SL) - I think the Vikes will just be running all over SL with AP and not much need to throw it around like Favre did on Mon vs. GB.

Any of you want to talk me out of just going with my TE in my flex spot?
