My RMoss + Megatron for Braylon, Forte, WHIR as always

Postby BLT4ME » Wed Oct 07, 2009 6:03 pm

Hey,

My team is 2-2 but I am scoring far below the average for my league and feel I need to make some trades. 12 team league, standard scoring, 2WR, 2RB, Flex config.

QB: Eli
RB: Grant, Moreno, DMC, MBush, Harrison, Wells
WR: RMoss, Megatron, Manningham, Knox
TE: Cooley
DEF: WW
K: WW

I am high on Forte and think this trade to the Jets will make Braylen be an elite WR again (maybe I am crazy). Would any of you do this trade? If no, if I ask for BMarshall along with braylen would that put you over the top.

WHIR, as always, paste link

No... Moss and Calvin were both late 1st/2nd round picks. And while Forte was a 1st rounder, and finally performed against Detroit, I don't think Braylon makes up the difference.

Help please

I say no in either respect (Marshall or Edwards). Forte, unfortunately, is going to enjoy the receiving numbers that he did last year now that the Bears have a QB that doesn't require a back in the flat to bail him out. And until the O-line starts opening some bigger holes for him, he could continue to struggle on the ground. Edwards has really only had one season that approached elite reciever status, and there isn't anything in NY to make me think that he's going to immediately re-capture his 07 form. I wouldn't move on him till I've seen more. Moss straight up for Forte might be a trade I would consider if I needed help at RB (which you do, arguably), but you aren't deep enough at WR to consider giving up him and Calvin. Calvin is the only big play player on a team with a capable QB that will play from behind A LOT and therefore need to pass A LOT. I do like Marshall to be solid this season...but not nearly enough to warrant getting rid of both your top receivers. Hope that helps!

I think you are crazy dude. Haha just kidding. But seriously there is no way i make this trade. One of them alone is enought to get Matt Forte. Johnson looks like he is coming on and Moss is only gonna get more comfortable the better Brady feels about his knee. I like forte going forward too but not at that price. And Edwards i dont think is gonna be much better with an inconsistent rookie qb. Good luck.

take a look please:
