My first thought when I saw the title of this thread was the Pittsburgh Pirates...and yes, they are dumb too.

If it were the Pittsburgh Pirates, they would've successfully raided the ship and immediately traded away everything they looted for prospects.

And then traded those prospects for one expensive, bad, and old pitcher.

And then draft a good prospect, tutor him for a few years until he's good....and then trade him away for more prospects....which they trade away for an expensive, bad, old pitcher....

Breaking news! The Pittsburgh Pirates have moved to Somalia where they continued their decades long exercise in futility. The Somali Pirates are looking for an "experienced" pitcher to bolster their team.
