How do I improve my squad????

Postby Thor » Wed Oct 07, 2009 8:40 pm

My team (PPR. 1pts per 10 yds rush/rec, 1 pt per 20 yds pass)
We have to carry the set amount at each position
I am in first place in record and total pts.
Large prize is total pts, secondary prize is best head to head championship

Start QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, TE, K DT
Brady, Edwards, Vick
C Johnson, Grant, D Brown, Wells
S Smith(NYG), Colston, D Jackson, Sims-Walker, Bennett
Heap, Winslow
Vinitari, Scobee
SD, BUF

I have waiver claims in for
drop Wells pick up Harrison, Washington, Moore(in that order)
drop Bennett pick up Rice or Britt
drop SD pick NO

Which is probably best move for this team?

Do I use my strength and depth at WR to upgrade at TE? ( I might be able to get Clark or Celek)

Do I use my strength and depth at WR with Grant to try and upgrade my #2 RB? (I might be able to get Turner or Westy)

Do I use my strength and depth at WR to trade 2 of them to get another stud WR? ( I might be able to get Fitz or Moss)

Do I stand pat and use my WR depth to play matchups and protection for injury/byes?

My first question is if you are already first then why do anything to your team?

Anyways.....I know to further enhance right? so......I would try and get a top #1 legit TE and a top #1 legit RB first.

You have great WR's already in S.Smith, DJAX, Sims-Walker and Colston so I wouldn't really touch that, Grant has been underwhelming so I would try for the nice RB#2 first probably and then try for a top tier TE. Heap and Winslo are ok but if you can get Gates, Clark, Witten then I would go for it.

I do like the drop Wells and get Harrison pick as well that you have!

Good Luck!

with the awesome WR core you have right now there would be no need to go for another stud. I would look for an upgrade over Grant first and a top 3 TE second. RB's get there touches every game...TE's dont always. good luck
