Trade including Marshall and Moreno

Postby Middle Aged Paunch » Fri Oct 09, 2009 12:45 pm

I have been working on a trade for a week or so now (one version was previously talked about on the forum). Here it is:

I get: Brandon Marshall, Julius Jones, and Mario Manningham
I give: Roy Williams, Jerome Harrison, and Knowshon Moreno (Moreno can be kept for a 1st round pick next year)

My Team:
QB: McNabb, Flacco, Palmer
RB: Westbrook, D. Williams, Parker, Moreno, Harrison
WR: Housh, Mason, R. Williams, Nick, Massaquoi
TE: Clark
K: Scobee
Def: Baltimore

I worry about Westbrooks health and wondering if I'm giving up too much in Harrison and Moreno. I tried Marshall/Jones for Williams/Moreno but he won't bite. Is the upgrade to Marshall worth giving up both Harrison and Moreno and being left with Parker and Jones?

You have good depth at RB, and it seems like it wont hurt you much in order to improve yourself at WR. You have to remember that Moreno and Harrison are valuable at the moment, but as soon as Buckhalter and Lewis come back from their injuries in the weeks to come, their value will plummet as they have to split carries. Youre essentially selling while their stock is high. Jones' value will be essentially to equal to Moreno's or Harrison's over the course of the season. It improves your WR situation in the meantime, since Marshall has finally been coming alive in recent weeks.
