Re: My Witten/Mason for his White/Vernon Davis?

Roddy White has been somewhat disappointing so far this year. Mason has actually put up better fantasy numbers per game. Witten is obviously more valuable than Davis. At this point, I wouldnt make this trade. Your entire basis for it would be that White will turn around his season and start putting up stud numbers, but thats a gamble considering how much harder Atlanta's schedule is this year than it was last year when he put up good numbers and the presence of another legitimate target (Gonzalez).

White: 15 rec 119 yds, 1 TD after 3 games: 40 yds/gm, 5 rec/game, 0.33 Tds/gm = 11 pts/game

Mason: 19 rec 284 yds, 2 TDs after 4 games: 71 yds/gm, 4.8 rec/game, 0.5 TDs/gm = 14.9 pts/game

nice details on the respond :) the offer was modified to strickly White vs Witten now. Which leaves me weak at the TE position but would give me arguably on of the best wr corpse ive ever seen if White pans out to be a true number one like last year.

Thanks for the response on mine. I agree your wr's would be sick, but if you can only play 3, I think you would have talent on the bench that would be a pain to sit. If it was me, and I have both Roddy White and Witten, and I had to get rid of one, I would keep Witten.

Basically, I would prefer the tandem AJ-Colston-Mason-Witten over AJ-Colston-White-Heap.

I do not think that you need White at all. You will be overstocked at WR and stuck trying to work out which of your (several) very serviceable WR to play each week.

If you wouldn't mind going back to mine and suggesting a defence for THIS week I would really appreciate :-) ; thanks for responding to mine...
