Slaton or Harrison???

Postby jackarmani » Fri Oct 09, 2009 2:49 pm

I have chris Johnson who i'm definately playing this week and then steve slaton and jerome harrison as my other 2 non bye rbs.

Harrison has only had the one big week but he's facing the awful bills rush D.
Slaton is a more well known RB but is playing against Arizona.

Opinions people?

If u get ppr u have to go Slaton, if not maybe Harrison cause he got ton of carries but they might stack box to make Anderson throw the ball...tough

I would go with Slaton. He's just too strong on a more balanced offense.

more balanced isn't always a good thing.

Arizona atm are 6th against the run. And all the experts are saying they think this game will be a shootout, so if houston is falling behind they wont run as much.

But i am weary about Harrison, only 1 game under his belt and the bills may crowd the box to force anderson to throw (especially since they have now lost edwards).

Harrison-I know too many players with him in their line-up this week. I am NOT one of them. Slaton could be null if there is a ketchup or shootout. Harrison will be there all 4.

I could have had a similar dilemma this week but I traded Harrison and Portis to another team for M.Turner. I was very high on Harrison but now I read somewere that J.Lewis is back this week and its probably gonna be a timeshare. That said Im not big on Slaton but if it is a shootout atleast he is a valid passing option for Schaub.

yeah i picked up slaton this week in a trade for carson palmer and santana moss. I had 3 qbs Eli, Brett and Carson and 5 wr Calvin johnson, Desean jackson, dwayne bowe, donald driver and santana moss but only 3 RB. Chris Johnson, Matt Forte and Jerome Harrison. So i was asking everyone for a trade and managed to get my 2 worst WR/QB traded for a potential starter in slaton.

Was pretty happy but its just this one week matchup that has me stumped.

the trade for slaton hasn't officially finalised but goes through sunday morning, at which point i need to pick up a DST (either bills or cowboys) as a bye week replacement for the saints.
