Team A gave up Westbrook, Brian PHI RB;Jones, Jacoby HOU WR;Boss, Kevin NYG TE Team B gave up Rice, Ray BAL RB;Knox, Johnny CHI WR;Davis, Vernon SFO TE
This is a deep Dynasty league, only rookie draft each year.
14 team league, 24 man rosters, performance scoring.
Rice>Westy because of age and hell injury past and present value still slightly favors Rice. But in a dynasty Rice has much more value due to age/injury risk then that of Westy
Jacoby=Knox - both are Return specialists that pitch in Receiving stats week to week. Knox still hasn't stepped up quite as much as I thought and Jacoby has actually looked pretty decent and if your league counts Return Yards Jones will dominate Knox in that category
Boss=<Davis - Davis is only slightly better then Boss simply because the niners have no dependable receiving options right now
Overall that is a very fair deal to me, and in now way can be overturned.
It's not horrible, but as a Commish myself I would reject it.
Rice will outperform Westbrook this season. He plays on a much more dynamic offense that is putting up points like they're going out of style. Westbrook is just as likely as any player in the NFL to get hurt from this point going forward, and very quietly Desean Jackson may have already trumped old number 36 in defensive coordinators' offices around the league on Eagles week, regardless of health. He obviously has more upside in the future.
Knox is rapidly climbing the Bears' depth chart, out performing Earl Bennett weekly and providing QB Jay Cutler with the down field speed he's looking for. There is nothing Jacoby Jones has - talent, opportunity, special teams bonus - that Knox does not. It's early, but it can be argued that Knox is better than Jones in every way - He has a much better chance to get on the field as a WR (now and the future) if you look at Houston and Chicago's pass catchers, he's equally impressive as a return man (see last week when they both took one to the house), and his natural raw ability is every bit as good (if not better) than Jones.
Vernon Davis went from San Francisco doghouse to team captain in less than a calender year. He is without question going to outperform Kevin Boss this year. Not only is Boss hurt - doubtful Sunday - but he also plays on a team where he is most often the last option on passing plays. The Giants are a run first team with a QB in Eli Manning who loves to go to his Wide Recievers. Don't expect any of that to change over the next 5 years. In fact, if you look at New York's most recent draft they selected TE Travis Beckum in the 3rd round. They even traded up to get him. He is a pure pass catching TE and is already getting involved in the passing game (see 2 screens against the Bucs and a flag route last week against the Chiefs). This doesn't bode well for Boss in the future, who came into camp this season up at 272 pounds. He was drafted at 252 pounds and TEs coach Mike Pope requested that he bulk up in order to handle increased blocking duties. Then, the Giants traded away TE Mike Matthews to New England for draft picks. All he did for New York was run block and also served as a backup fullback in a pinch. Once the trade happened, the selection of Beckum and the weight gain by Boss made more sense to Giants' nation. Add all the evidence up, and Boss' fantasy value is very low (this season and seasons to come) when compared to Vernon Davis. Davis is the 49ers' number one option right now, he's 10 times the athlete Boss could ever dream of becoming, and he's younger. Singletary and staff seem to have really motivated this young man and possibly turned his career around. If you watched the last two weeks it's very clear that Vernon Davis is quickly becoming one of the best TE's in the game. His 3 TD's in the last two weeks were all plays Boss could never make, flying up the seam and out leaping hordes of defenders in the back of the endzone for six. The only advantage you can argue for Kevin Boss is that he has a better QB. Not enough in my opinion. I would jump in front of this one Commish...

Well I think a lot depends on where each team stands right now. If player A wants to make a run this year he may want, and hope that Westy is going to be back to his old self for the rest of the season. So he basically gave up a young rb who is good in a ppr league, but in a crowder backfield, Knox who is a rookie and who knows if he will keep this up and Davis who hasn't lived up to his potential, but may be now. In my dynasty league I have seen some of this in the past, one player making a run at it and trading away some young talent. I don't see a problem with the trade.
