From here on out..Witten or Celek?

Postby FirstAnd99 » Fri Oct 09, 2009 10:44 pm

Who do you think is more valuable from here on out in a 1 PPR league? I own them both and Im really looking to move one of them...

I feel like Witten is the safer bet, because he catches a lot of passes but so far he hasn't really had a big game whereas Celek has been going off...can he keep it up though?

What do you think?

Overall points a believe Witten will outscore Celek... but not by much. If you have both, and want to trade one, you are going to get WAY more for Witten in a trade. What are you looking to trade for? One for one WR or RB?

The safer move is to keep Witten, but I recommend moving him. Celek has more upside, IMO. Preseason, I thought he would be the 6th highest ranked TE (behind Witten). After 4 weeks of play from Witten I'm thinking the two of them could end with very similar numbers.

One caveat - in PPR, I would deliberate more about Witten as he consistantly proves to get over 70 catches. This is Celek's first full year and I don't know how that will work out.

I agree, Witten is much better trade bait but close to the same in value.

I like Celek, as said Witten will probably fetch you more based on the name - but the Philly offense is very TE friendly & unlike Dallas is absolutely loaded with play makers on the outside.

With Dallas, teams are going to game plan to stop Witten from beating them.

On the other hand, in Philly, Celek, more often than not, isn't going to be a priority.

I like the idea of trading Witten out of the two. Im looking for a RB as Im pretty thin there...My WRs are solid..Wayne, Mason, Bowe, Burleson.

What do you think is good value for him, someone like K Smith?

No way do you get Smith for Witten 1 for 1.

Sure you do. It all depends on the situation. If the guy has 3 RBs and no TEs, he's gonna make that trade. It's a fair trade, anyway. It's only Week 4. Witten has the potential to bounce back and whoever wants him will be thinking that way.
