Not a great matchup for him, but I think you have to go with Benson...he'll grind out 70 yards and could pop in a TD...you don't know what you'll get out of Choice, but you know Barber is getting the goalline carries...

I agree that Benson is the way to go. I think Barber is healthy enough to get at least half the carries at this point, maybe more (plus all goal line). Benson's yards will be hard fought as the previous poster said; but I think he has greater success as a feature back than Choice does as a back up this week. As great as Choice's match up is this week; I say go Benson, with at least an 70-80 combined yard game and possibly a TD. Gl!

Edit: well, BuddahSmash makes one hell of a more compelling argument , if the Ravens run D is that statistically good, than perhaps you are better off with Choice; clearly the safer option based on the numbers!

Cedric Benson: Playing a Baltimore defense that is only giving up 59.5 yards/gm on the ground and a stiff 2.6 ypc average. That's kind of a scary matchup.

Tashard Choice: Playing a KC defense that is giving up 128 yards/gm on the ground and a generous 4.1 ypc average. Marions quad could very well act up and could get the bulk of the carries or worst case they could split to avoid further wear and tear on Barber.

Like many people have said, you may want to take the one that has the most guaranteed carries. You have a hard Choice to make. Take the following into consideration...Benson has two career games versus Bal..12 carries for 23 yards..

Based on stats:

Choice is averaging 3.7 ypc on the season (which was construed by Denver). First 3 games...4.5 ypc..KC is giving up 4.1, so for a safe measure lets say 4.2 could be his average during this game. Last two games he's averaged 16 carries, lets take a stab at around 67 yards rushing 3 rec 25 yards.

Who ever really knows though?
