UPDATED TRADE WK 6 WR, pick 3 & QB WHIR 100%

Postby Sex Panther » Mon Oct 12, 2009 11:13 am

Okiedokie - I have 4 WR that all could be considered must starts, can only play 3. I'm hit hard at RB due to week 6 BYE schedule (R. Brown, J. Addai, D. Brown all off this week). I have 2 very startable QB's as well...

I'm starting LT & unless something better pops up on the WW this week, I'm stuck w/ Fargas or M. Bell at my RB2.

I'm going to try and move a WR for a RB this week, but who knows if that happens...

I guess what I'm saying is I need to hit on my 3 WR & QB to maximize points this week - want that win streak to hit 5...

12 team standard scoring QB/WR/WR/RB/RB/TE/Flex/K/D

QB ???
WR ???
WR ???
RB LT
RB Fargas or Bell or somebody else
TE Daniels
Flex ???
K Gostkowski
D Minnesota

QB - Schaub @ CIN or Hasselbeck vs. ARI - leaning towards Hasselbeck at home against the Cards.

WR - Jennings vs. DET, Ochocinco vs. HOU, S. Smith (NYG) @ NO, N. Burleson vs. ARI. I want to start all 4 - but can't, a case can be made for all 4, who gets left on the bench?

Thanks & WHIR - really looking for some help on this one.

QB - Hassleback as long as everything is ok on the injury front I think his match up here warrants a start. AZ giving up over 300 and 2 td's a game while Cincy is only allowing 1 td a game. Safer play in my opinion

WR - you do have some solid options here but I'd go with the following....
Ochocinco - been producing this year and Houton has been giving up some big games to WR's he's a must start
S Smith - Should be a shoot out I think the Giants will have to throw the ball and he's Eli's most reliable target also a must start
N Burleson - Has a solid connection with Hassleback and I think Housh/him have another solid week against a suspect passing defense

As for Jennings, I honestly need to see that GB has fixed some of their o-line issues before I buy into him again. It is Detroit but that also means they may go to more short passes/run the ball instead of going for the deep ball. Everyone else has been consistent while Jennings has thrown up some crap games and 5 sacks a game has to be on the qb's mind even if he's as talented as Rodgers is.

QB - Hasselback. Arizona's passing defense is dead-last through 4 weeks and a bye.

WR - Gotta play Jennings against the Lions. He's had two 100+ yard games this season, has he disappointed you that badly to sit with such a favorable match-up? I agree that Burleson should have another solid outing and keeps it rolling against Arizona, so put him in there too. I'd play Ochocinco against Houston as well. My sit here would probably be Steve Smith, believe it or not. I'm still not convinced Eli Manning is suddenly a stud, nor do I think New Orleans has a push-over defense anymore. This game may scream "shoot-out," but I could envision some stifling defense rising to the occasion for both teams. I'm actually tossing around the idea of benching Colston for that very reason.

Agree all the way
Hasselbeck as well for the start
In this situation you have to play the matchups, Ochocinco and Burleson are must starts vs. shaky pass defenses, and with the way Rodgers has been playing, Jennings looks pretty good this week. The Vikings are one of the best defenses in the NFL and he hit em up for something like 390 yards so against the Lions, I'd expect a similar showing. Smith looks good, but NO has been pretty shutdown this season, and I only see the passing game opening up for NY can establish the run early.

Hasselbeck due to the matchup.

WR: Jennings, Smith, OchoCinco. Burleson has been good but I consider those 3 to be in a tier above him.

OK, made a deal - traded S. Smith for R. Moss (hopefully it doesn't blow up in my face).

4 WR, 3 spots...

R. Moss vs TEN (31st against the pass, +63% to WR over NFL average)
G. Jennings vs DET (27th against the pass, +37.% to WR over NFL average)
C. Ochocinco vs HOU (16th against the pass, +2.7% to WR over NFL average)
N. Burleson vs ARI (32nd against the pass, +34.9% to WR over NFL average)

Who do I roll with??? Who's the odd man out???

Thanks, and WHIR, just leave a link...

for qb i would go with hass because arizona can be thrown on. schaub did start off slow against zona last week but picked it up later so hass is a good choice

as for wr go with jennings, ocho, and smith. jennings because the lions can be thrown on and rodgers and jennings had a bye week to fix everything. ocho because palmer has been throwing to him so much that he is a great play. smith because it looks like its going to be a throwing frenzy in new orleans. its tough to leave burleson on the bench after last week but i just believe those 3 wrs are better options this week than burleson. good luck and thanks for help on my post

Same thing but Moss instead of Smith. Nice trade BTW.
