Jeremy Maclin - Eagles new WR2?

He'll be getting high praise from the press after going off for 142 yards and 2 TDs against a poor TB pass D, but was this performance enough to vault him ahead of Curtis on the depth chart?

In training camp I heard a lot about how his route running needed plenty of work and how it would take him quite a while to work himself into contention for a decent sized role in the Eagles offense. But an injury to Curtis opened the door and it looks like Maclin's doing his best to take full advantage.

Was this enough to make him relevant in fantasy leagues and to turn him into a legitimate WR3 in favorable matchups? Or should we hold judgment until he does this again?

Eagles coach Andy Reid said "we'll see" when asked if Jeremy Maclin will be a permanent starter going forward.
"It was a great job by Jeremy. It's great to have two players that we know can play that well," Reid said. We fully expect Maclin to be the starter. Kevin Curtis can't get healthy and isn't quick or explosive when he's on the field. Maclin will be inconsistent in the Eagles' offense (see DeSean Jackson's one-catch performance Sunday), but the rookie is worth a roster spot in most leagues.

I don't know what's going on with curtis, but he seems to be having the injury bug these past 2 years.

Curtis has been hurt since training camp with that Knee. Their was speculation he might either be put on PUP or even cut at one point. Maclin will likely draw starts from here on out, even when Curtis returns(and even that isn't concrete).

I'd say he's a WR3 just because The Eagles do spread the ball around so much.

According to Mike Lombardi of the National Football Post, the Eagles and Steelers will make Kevin Curtis and Limas Sweed available for trade this week.
The trade deadline is October 20. Lombardi also mentions Chiefs ILB Derrick Johnson as a player that potentially is available. A Curtis trade would move first-round pick Jeremy Maclin into the Eagles' starting lineup full time, but the veteran's knee injury and contract will make him difficult to move.
