Give up on Megatron for a more stable WR?

Postby chrisjay84 » Mon Oct 12, 2009 9:07 pm

A team is offering Greg Jennings on the block for a RB. Thankfully since I drafted Bradshaw and Mendhenhall for my bench I'm stacked there. My WR core is Welker, V. Jackson and Calvin Johnson. Should I make a package deal of a RB and CJ for Greg Jennings and a RB? Time to give up on Calvin Johnson for a player in a much more stable offense with a much better QB?

I wouldn't do a package, see if you can trade him straight up for Jennings, unless he has a stud you think you can get. But I wouldn't. Jennings and CJ would be great.

Then just play the matchups with Jennings, CJ, Welker and VJ? Sounds like a wet dream lol.

I might try and do a straight up deal for either Mendhenhall or Bradshaw, any thoughts?

i think you should do steven jackson for jennings and then package welker and mendenhall or bradshaw for a ryan grant/kevin smith kind of rb maybe. or vice versa with sending him rb and keeping sjax and mjd

I don't think MJD or SJax is on the table. I love both their potential and both have fantastic fantasy playoff matchups. I know SJax is not playing great right now but he's getting the yardage, the TDs will come. I like my RB core but I'm just getting tired of depending on the Lions to get the ball to CJ.

I would try to trade a RB either straight up or w/ a lesser WR for Jennings. I wouldn't give up on CJ.

I agree with the others...try a Mendenhall or Bradshaw straight up for Jennings and see if he bites (its good to see if you can buy low as Jennings "stock" is a bit low right now).

so you want to trade for jennings who has been even worse than CJ?

jennings 11 catches in 4 weeks less then 3 a game average.

CJ 22 catches in 5 games, over 5 a game average.

i'm sure if i checked targets that CJ would lead that too.

QB: Rivers, Garrard
RB: MJD, Steven Jackson, Mendenhall, Bradshaw
WR: Calvin Johnson, V. Jackson, W. Welker
TE: Celek, Keller,
K: Elam, K. Brown
Def: New England, San Fransisco

Drop SF D, K. Brown for depth.

You don't seem to have much depth.

Unless you have to keep these extras, I never do leagues like that. It hurts your strategy.
