Jones Drew for Addai & Marshall?

Postby tumblin » Mon Oct 12, 2009 11:38 pm

I was just offered Addai and Marshall for my Jones-Drew. Normally I don't take trades too often, but this one seemed interesting. Normal scoring format with a R/W flex. Here are the teams involved.

QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 Flex, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DEF

McNabb, Palmer
R. Moss, R. Wayne, A. Boldin B. Marshall, J. Cotchery
J. Addai, G. Coffee, P. Thomas, D. Brown, A. Bradshaw
B. Celek
J. Scobee
New York Jets

K. Warner, B. Farve
C. Johnson, M. Sims-Walker, D. Driver, P. Harvin, P. Garcon
M. Jones-Drew, R. Grant, T. Choice, S. Morris,
T. Gonzalez, J. Shockey
S. Gostkowski
Minnesota

Clearly he is a bit stacked in WR's. Should I take this trade or maybe counter with something else?

I wouldn't really trade, GB has a relatively soft remaining schedule so grant should get going, and jags offense should get better if sims-walker doesn't lose his away itinerary again. Driver has out played jennings in GB so far. Harvin should progress as the season lengthens and garcon even with anthony gonzalez eventual return will be the 3 wr in indy but the 3 wr in indy has been productive and indy has a really weak schedule ahead as well. Even shockey and gonzo are good if you can play both. Addai will be splitting all year with donald brown, and brown seems to be more goal-line. I still think marshall will be a little streaky with orton at the helm.

I would keep what you have. Marshall is starting to get going. But I wouldn't give up a top back for him. And Addai isn't as good as he use to be. It's a interesting offer. But I think you have enough deep at WR and not enough deep at RB.

Eh if your getting Jones-Drew you have plenty of room to trade Marshall away. I like MJD side of this deal.
