Who to drop (or trade)? WHIR

Postby PAL » Tue Oct 13, 2009 11:55 am

I need to pick up a TE to cover D. Clark's bye week. Any thoughts as to who to send to the WW?
Also, Winslow or Gates have been offered up for a possible trade. The other team is looking to upgrade their RB or WR. If I went that route to cover my TE, who would I offer in a trade? Hester? Hightower?
I just picked up Orton to cover River's bye week. I could always unload him, but it seems he might be valuable down the stretch - not ready to get rid of him.

QBs - Rivers, Orton
RBs - A. Peterson, R. Mendenhall, Hightower, W. Parker, C. Taylor (start 2)
WR - S. Smith (NYG), Simms-Walker, Hester, Berrian (start 2)
Flex - start either a WR or RB
TE - Clark
K - Scobee - need to unload him, looking to pick up Crosby off of WW
D - 49ers - also on bye, looking to pick up GB off of WW

I'm not ready to unload C. Taylor, or W. Parker, but they are taking up bench room that I don't have. How should I cover Clark's bye week? I don't think I'd get much for Berrian in a trade, so maybe he goes to the WW?
FYI - H. Miller is available on WW for TE. That's who I'd try to pick up, but I'm 10th for waiver picks this week, may not get him.

Will help in return.
Thanks!

i would do taylor personally, its not like adp and him share carrys, taylor comes in when its a total blow out and adp isn't needed. he might get a rare goal line carry but even most of those go too adp. berrian should probably be traded rather than ww he is pretty valuable #1.

I would not drop any of your WR's your thin as it is. The only people you can afford to lose is C. Taylor or K. Orton, Rivers has already had his bye week and Rivers is much better than Orton and I think he will be on the WW if you ever need to pick him back up.

Drop Orton for Miller. You're not going to play him over Rivers and his bye is already passed.

Help please
