My Moreno for Celek and Eagles D/ST? WHIR

Postby SonOF » Tue Oct 13, 2009 1:48 pm

I thinki I need a better defense and a tight end to add to my roster. I was thinking about moving K.Moreno, as his stock is pretty high, and is basically the 3rd back on my team (2 need to be started each week; no flex) behind Adrian Peterson and Portis. One of the guys in my league that I think is interested in Moreno has Greg Olsen and Brent Celek as his TE's, and the Eagles and Niners defense. I was thinking of offering Moreno for Celek and the Eagles defense..Is the this too little to be getting back for a legit #2 RB? Am I overrating the unproven Celek? Should I hold onto Moreno, ensuring that I am deep at RB (especially since Portis is banged up/inconsistent), and make do with John Carlson and the Bears defense? Based on last year's totals and his week one performance (6 catches, 95 yards, 2tds), I really thought I had something in Carlson, but since then, he hasn't done much at all. If Carlson returns to the level I thought he was capable of playing at, I won't have to worry about getting another TE..do you think he will turn it around?

My roster is in my signature for reference
Thanks in advance...WHIR

I wouldn't trade away Moreno for Celek and a defense, you aren't getting enough in return. C-Buck went down and Moreno will get a bulk of the touches now. Don't forget that Moreno had a knee injury in the pre season and was out for most of training camp, so to me he will only get better and better each week. I would hold on to him and look at grabbing a te somewhere else.

Id hold onto Moreno bro, Carlson will come around and you really can't afford to lose Moreno seeing how Caddy isnt performing. Also, remember, Peterson and Portis have byes in weeks 10 and 8 respectively so you will have to play Moreno atleast in week 8, as Caddy has a bye in week 8 as well. Last thing you want to do is be stuck with a cruddy FA in which you will have to replace someone you don't want to lose on your bench.

If you got a min

Thanks guys....What do you think about Owen Daniels and the Giants defense for Moreno? I think the Giants will be a top 3 defense all year long...
