Fair trade??

I have proposed a trade to a fellow coach in our non-PPR, standard rules Yahoo! league. We start 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DEF and 1 flex spot WR/RB.

I offered him my Heath Miller and Donald Brown for his Randy Moss. My squad is my sig. His roster is below:

QB: Romo, Cutler
RB: Brandon Jacobs, Fred Jackson, Willis McGahee, Larry Johnson,
WR: Randy Moss, Brandon Marshall, Vincent Jackson, Laveranues Coles, Michael Jenkins
TE: Dallas Clark
DEF: Philadelphia, Dallas
K: Akers, Kaeding

Is this a fair deal? I am hoping Moss will come on more as the year goes on, and I have RBs to spare, so what do you think?

No, not fair at all.

Miller is a run of the mill TE, and this guy doesn't need a TE. So he is basically irrelevant in the trade.

Brown has some upside for sure, but he is still a backup RB with not a lot of value.

Moss' value is down, but not that far down. He is still a top 10 WR in terms of value.

So no, this is not even close to a fair trade. You're going to have to offer Moreno or R Rice at the minimum.

That trade is insulting!

First off, he has Dallas Clark...why in the world would he want Miller?

Second, why in the world would he want Brown, a RBBC RB who is not even the starter?

He will most likely laugh at that offer as would I and I surely would never deal with you if offered a ridiculous trade like that!

You have to remember you are trying to buy ultra-low on Moss, but with guys like him, people aren't going to let him go for much less than the market value he'd have if he was playing up to snuff. I think if you can get him for Knowshon straight up, that's a great deal for you. I wouldn't give up Smith and Moreno for Moss, but if you want him that badly, you might have to.
