Quick Question for Trade

Postby timmyotewl » Tue Oct 13, 2009 5:59 pm

I've hit a dilemna and I'm just hoping to get you input on it.

This is what my team looks like now:

QB: Drew Brees
WR: Larry Fitzgerald, Andre Johnson, Mike Sims-Walker
RB: Rashard Mendenhall, Clinton Portis
TE: Owen Daniels
K: Jeff Reed
DEF: Green Bay

Bench
WR: Santonio Holmes, Donnie Avery, Miles Austin
RB: Kevin Smith, Fred Jackson, Jamal Lewis

Now obviously my starting lineup changes week to week with some players with better matchups and byes like normal.

I just made a trade (a steal) recently. I received Drew Brees, Andre Johnson and Owen Daniels for Philip Rivers, Dustin Keller, Sidney Rice, and NY Giants Def.

I just got proposed another trade where I could add depth but I would hate to give up Brees who is an instant starter every week. I would receive Jay Cutler, Matt Forte, and Steve Smith (Car) for Drew Brees and Clinton Portis.

It is a 12 man league so depth is few and far between as you can see how long the bench can go. Just on the fence on the trade, just want to know others opinions. I know Cutler is a great QB and all that but yeah.

Thanks.

That was a steal of a trade, I would just stay put where you are at though. I do not think that trade makes you any better. Brees will get back on track and you will be fine with Fitz and AJ to make up points
