Just traded Chris Johnson for Cedric Benson. My reasoning was, without Johnson's huge game against Houston, what has he really done? His upside is obviously his rushing and PPR potential. However, he is part of a very poor team that looks like it will be playing from behind an awful lot. That means a lot of passes in the second half of games if they're down. Not to mention, Chris Johnson has to worry about Fatboy Lendale White. And, as a final note for Johnson, against Pittsburgh, he put up 7 points in my league, and hasn't passed 12 points since Houston. Cedric Benson however, has the most yards rushing in the league currently, and while he doesn't have the PPR potential of CJ, he has performed consistently and well no matter who he's faced, Baltimore and Pittsburgh included. His schedule coming up is very intriguing as well. My team is below. It's pretty studly over-all. I'm currently in 1st place by a good amount of points. Let me know how you think I stack up. My next order of business will be to pick up a stud tight end. After that of course, comes the championship

I think you made the right decision. Im optimistic on Benson. Consider this: He's leading the NFL in rushing yards after 5 games, and three of those games were against Baltimore, Pittsburgh, and Denver. AP has played Cleveland, Detroit, and St Louis in three of his five games and still has fewer yards than Benson after 5 games. I'd rather take AP any day, but what Im trying to get at is that he can put up numbers against very tough defenses. But what I really like about Benson is this: In weeks 15 and 16 he plays San Diego and KC, two very favorable matchups come playoff time.

I would have to agree on this one. Johnson really hasn't done much besides the one big game he had. Benson has been surprisingly consistent so far, and the Bengals look like they are for real with Palmer back at QB.

you have the ultimate buy high sell low, which could appear to be good now but might bite you down the line. you had the depth to wait with ray rice on the bench. this is something i wouldn't have done personally.

just think, would you even be close to talking about this trade before the season started, let along doing it?

I like it, Benson looks legit and Johnson is struggling. With the Titans offense struggling teams can load the box and then the Titans also have to throw because they are playing from behind.

I would not have done this deal.

benson is consistent though, and with your roster, having a constant source of 10-15 points is great. But, IMO, CJ has much more potential of reeling in the 20-30 point games upon occassion.
