Want to offer Flacco and Slaton for Gore. Giving too much?

I could offer Flacco and Jamal Lewis for Gore too. Not sure if he would take that though. Only QB he has is Romo, who's on his bye this week. I don't need Flacco, got Schaub and McNabb too.

His RB's are Gore, P Thomas, SJax, J Jones, J Stewart


My team- QB-Schaub, McNabb, Flacco (start 1)
WR- C Johnson, S Smith (NY), Sims-Walker, A Gonzalez (start 2)
RB- M Forte, S Slaton, R Grant, J Lewis ( start 2, plus 1 flex)
TE- C Cooley
K- M Crosby for now, was N Folk
D- Jets

I think you need to get something else back in that deal. Flacco's been a top-5 QB so far. I'd look for at least FLEX caliber WR/RB in return as well.

That said, I doubt he goes for it. He prolly won't want to give up Gore for a bye-week replacement.

I'm in a similar situation -- trying to turn my back-up QB into a RB upgrade.

I definitely wouldn't do Flacco/Slaton for Gore -- given Gore's health, I'm not even sure I'd do a straight-up Slaton/Gore deal. You're right that he probably wouldn't take Jamal Lewis, though it couldn't hurt to use that as a starting point.

If he doesn't make a trade, which QB would he be able to pick up? That's really what you're negotiating with at this point.

I could even offer him a straight up trade of McNabb for Gore too. I would still have Flacco as my backup then, behind Schaub.

Or Flacco and Slaton for Gore and Shockey. He's got Owen Daniels as his starting TE. I'll need a TE in 2 weeks for Cooleys bye.
