One major piece coming back, one gone

Anybody else worried about the loss of Aaron Smith? This could spell trouble. A couple years ago when he got hurt, the defense seemed to completely collapsed. We're getting Troy back which will help in coverage during those 4th quarters, but Smith is such a big part of gobbling up blocks that he will be hard to replace.

NFL writers agree!

I feel like we have better depth this year to be able to deal with the loss...it's obviously going to hurt a bit, but I think we're better off this year than in years past when we've had injuries along the D-Line.

True true. The back up Dlinemen passed their first test, but then again, it was against the Browns. Hope they hold up as the season goes on.
