Keeper League Trade! Benson! Johnson! White! WHIR!! *EDIT*

10 team h2h 3 player (plus 1 rookie) keeper league. Standard scoring plus yardage bonuses.

I have been offered Chris Johnson, Beanie Wells, and a 6th rd pick for Benson, Roddy White, Braylon Edwards and an 8th rd pick.
My roster is:
QB: Brady
RB: Benson
RB: Brown
WR: Moss
WR: White
Flex: Colston
TE: Celek
K: Stream
Def: Bal
Bench: DWard, Rice, CTaylor, BEdwards, ABryant, SMoss, Cutler

We keep 3 players, plus a rookie from this year that we can use as a 4th keeper indefinitely.
I'm currently in first place w/ a 5-0 record, and would like to upgrade my wr depth for a stud keeper rb. I think this could be the opportunity, but I don't know if I'm giving up too much here.
What do you guys think?
Any suggestions are appreciated and WHIR!!!!

I say try holding onto Edwards, as he's not doing huge right now, so leaving him out probably won't be a deal breaker. And definitely try for Wells if you can first.

Personally I would stay away from that trade at all costs. The way I look at it, while I like Johnson more than Benson, its not necessarily an upgrade for certain. Benson is playing out of his mind so far this season, even if he tails off a bit how much do you gain by trading him for CJ with the Titans falling apart?

On top of that, you are losing Roddy and Edwards which would force you to put Rice in the flex (not a bad thing), but your WR depth is now S. Moss and Bryant and done. Bryant hasnt been able to get on the field this season, and Moss is Moss (hit or miss with more misses). If you lose either Colston or Randy at WR you are really hurting.

So While I like CJ over Benson personally, I dont think it makes sense to take such a small upgrade, if its an upgrade at all, at HB, for the cost of losing all of your depth at Flex and WR. Losing the comfort of having Rice, Edwards, Bryant, Moss on the bench for such a small improvement is not worth it in my opinion.

thanks for the info so far guys, i'm still mulling the offer. i like the thought of chris johnson as my 3rd keeper (i'm assuming i'll hold on to brady and moss), and if i can get him to throw in beannie so i can use him as my rookie keeper, that would make it very tempting.
any other thoughts?

As hard as it is to admit it Benson is currently one of the best rb's in the league. He's not ADP but he's solid. Johnson is an upgrade more so in a keeper league but not enough of an upgrade to give up White who may be a stud in his owrn right and Edwards(who I believe will bounce back in ny) for Wells who's an unproven commodity. Right now your 5-0 in first place and can win the chip THIS YEAR I think this trade decreases your chances to do that.

I wouldn't do it. I like Benson's resurgence. And Edwards has upside...I'd wait to see how that plays out (I think he'll do well with a change of scenery).
