I have Bress and McNabb and can't decide who to start. My gut feeling says ALWAYS go with Brees. However, he is playing against the #1 D against the pass (granted the Giants haven't had that tough of a schedule) and McNabb is playing against the Raiders. My concern with McNabb is that this game will be such a blowout that he will be sidelined in the second half to let Kolb and Vick have a little fun.
So leave me your comments on who you would start this week and why.
I'd go McNabb, even if they pull him in the 3rd he'll still have 3 TDs by then. Brees could give you another low scoring game this week, with short passes to bush and Thomas and a lot of run plays.
I know its been said before but I must repeat this...You CAN'T sit Brees.
He is just too good not to play. The Giants do have a tough D but this will be a huge test for them. NO has multiple weapons and options and it should be a close game throughout.
McNabb is playing the lowly Raiders. Unless they decide to run up the score, he should be out of the game early.
Never be afraid to sit Brees regardless what he's done in the past. 9 TD's this season, 6 in the first game, none in the last two. He now has a ground game in PT meaning he doesn't HAVE to throw on 3rd and 2..
I'd go McNabb in a heartbeat. His matchup is much more favorable and although he may not play much in the 4th quarter, but who knows, he's going to put up good numbers while in..

I agree with the notion that sitting Brees is a possibility, especially after the past few games in which it has been shown that you can stop him. That said, I would still feel crappy sitting him, because you never know what he's going to put up. Think about it this way; McNabb will definitely get you some points - maybe not a huge number - but he should be a reliable pick. Brees, on the other hand, may have another weak game, but you also have to consider the chance that he has a huge game. You just don't know. He could end up putting up huge numbers, even against the Giants.
So it's really your decision. What do you want? Do you want reliability? Or will you gamble on the chance that Brees has a big game.
